There are many academic conferences that welcome the presentation of original research on Ibsen’s texts, performances, translations, and adaptations. Since Ibsen is a major world author, general conferences on literature and drama are of course always good venues for presentations. In addition, two specific conferences deserve special mention here since the ISA has had a close cooperation with each of them over the years: SASS and the International Ibsen Conference. There are ISA-sponsored panels at SASS on an annual basis, while the International Ibsen Conference meets as a rule every three years, alternating between Norwegian and international locations. There are also numerous regional conferences and events that may be of interest to ISA members; as information becomes available it will be posted.
