Membership in The Ibsen Society of America is open to anyone with an interest in Ibsen. 

Membership categories and annual rates:

Regular Member: $25.00

Student Member: (undergraduate and graduate): $15.00

Honorary Member: From its beginning until 2003, the ISA periodically conferred honorary membership on individuals who had made significant contributions to Ibsen scholarship or performed other service to Ibsen’s legacy. Click here for a list of Honorary Members.

Member Benefits:

  • Subscription to Ibsen News and Comment, including full web access to all features
  • Opportunities for networking, community, and career development for professionals and students alike
  • Participation in ISA sessions and meetings at the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study conference (SASS) (without needing to join SASS)
  • Eligibility to contribute to Ibsen News and Comment (archived in JSTOR)

Donate: Charitable contributions to the ISA are fully tax deductible and can be made here. The ISA is wholly dependent on membership dues and donations for its operating costs and thanks its members in advance for their generosity.
