Members of the ISA and others who would like to support the ISA’s activity of promoting Ibsen and his works to the general public are encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation (of any amount) to the ISA in addition to paying the regular membership dues. ISA funds have been and will continue to be used for projects such as this website (design and ongoing maintenance), travel stipends for graduate students presenting Ibsen papers at SASS, undergraduate writing prizes, and the preparation of Ibsen News and Comment. (The officers of the ISA donate volunteer labor to the organization and do not draw on ISA funds.)

The Ibsen Society of America is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors may deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Code. Bequests, legacies, devices, transfers, or gifts to the ISA are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the Code. The IRS Employer Identification Number (Donor ID) of the ISA is 13-3068228.
